Chubby Funster

I have been in hiding the past few days, with nothing really to say. I think I have anti-spring fever where I just want to hibernate. I still have nothing to say, but has that ever stopped blogging before?

The title of this entry is Chubby Funster and it refers to the invented name of a porn star by Ricky Gervais while he was talking to Jon Stewart on The Daily Show, and Matt throught it was a particularly funny name for a band. It is stuck in my head now.

One thing I have done the past few days is update my myspace and livejournal thingees--they are at http://www.myspace.com/lissahoop and http://lissahoop.livejournal.com/ -- however, I have adapted to blogspot so I am not sure how much I will use them. Mostly it allows me to keep up with people who do have those types of thingees.

This morning it snowed, freakishly. Before you move to the North, you don't realize that there can be unseasonable cold or snowstorms...for me, it all seems unseasonable to my unseasoned experience.

We are going to Texas this weekend (again!) for a conference...I am so tired of taking planes, but driving the long distance is even more torture! But, I have a love-hate experience with travelling, and look forward to hotels and tiny soaps.

I feel compelled to write more since I have been awol these past few days...hmmm...another random thought: I am really into the new show "Big Love" on HBO...check it out!
