Random Valentine Musings

Temporary Valentine Blah Eliminated by Blogging

I am trying to make myself happy today even though I had a lot of nonfun things to do. Shouldn't all holidays be days you don't have to work? :-) Of course, that might mean everyday depending on what religion you practice.

Milo (my cat) has been hiding all day and now is being needy...dinner time? I am waiting for Matt to get home because supposedly dinner doesn't have to be an alone affair for me!

I expect some calls from family (imagine a demanding tone). Lindy sent me a lovely internet greeting card and my Mom and Dad sent me email! Again, I expect some calls tonight.

How boring! I wish I could be more topical, such as talk about the guy, who Dick Cheney shot, dying, or the blizzard in New York, but I am sure anyone who reads my blog would have heard the stuff on the news already.

So an effort to be Valentiney and promote the cause of romance
(have you seen my avatar! :-) check this silly thing out:

No, he is dead, I am sorry to say. Another casualty of the Bush admin. Ironic, it was at the Armstrong ranch, my greatgrandmother's middle name (okay, only internally ironic, but isn't that the only perspective/humor we can have!)

He's alive!!! (Melissa, are you kidding me with the driest sense of humor in the world, or "gaslighting" me? :-)

I think he was reported as dead on CNN but now I looked on the internet CNN site and it said, "Hospital officials said Whittington, an Austin lawyer long active in Texas Republican politics, was in stable condition Wednesday after a piece of birdshot lodged in or against his heart muscle triggered a mild heart attack a day earlier." Perhaps the Bush admin brought him back alive. :-) Don't they have that much power???
